We love a good canister.

Both Stef and I own multiple sets of canisters, so I guess you could say that they are a bit of a weak spot for us. What's a girl to do? They are so colorful and cheerful and are super handy when it comes to organizing a kitchen! Which one is your favorite?

Shop the canisters here: one, two, three, four, five, six

  1. Ooh...those yellow ones are gorgeous! I've been looking for a set of my own for my new kitchen - fingers crossed I find some as cute as these! :)

  3. For me, it's a tie between 3 and 5 although 4 would match the kitsch-en better. Hard to choose!

  4. I own 'three', but in red! They are by far my favorite vintage canister set I've owned yet! But I also like 'six' very much, very darling.

  8. I found some copper ones and an antique store in town that I am just LOVING so far. Who needs new ones when you can get antique ones that are so much better?

  10. There all so cute but I love number three! Vintage kitchen stuff is the one thing I always look up on etsy (they just have a great kitsch selection). Love your picks :)

  11. I love the bright and cheeriness of the yellow canisters (3) and the floral pattern and neutral base of 6, but I have a style closer to 1 at home.

I love them, but run out of uses for them myself.

I also have a set of yellow apple in canisters.

  12. You just know your cake will be good when the flour comes from a vintage canister!

  13. I love canisters too - especially those from the 70s. They remind me of making cakes after school before my parents got home and dyeing the granulated sugar blue or green (my mother never seemed to keep powdered sugar in the house). Nothing like sandy, gritty frosting tinted a radioactive colour to make you say Mmmmmm...vintage!

Here's one of my favourite canisters: http://avintagelife.wordpress.com/for-the-home/

  15. i bought myself of a set of vintage canisters when i was 10 in preparation for my "first apartment." They sat in my closet all through highschool and university, until only a few years ago when I finally got to install them, in all their glory on my very own kitchen counter. so I hear you on the need - mine lasted about 15 years!

  16. Love them all! I can't have too much vintage kitchen stuff- it's my weakness. That and antique radios, clocks, and cameras :) Love how you put the etsy links in as well- I always look forward to these posts because you link things I can actually purchase!
