Here is a cute and simple way to jazz up a plain jane bottle or carafe!
All you will need for this project is glue or mod podge, a brush, scissors, gold candy wrappers (a cheap alternative to gold leafing, which can be found at your local craft store), and clear glass bottles or mason jars.
First decide on what sort of pattern or shape you would like to put on the bottles and cut it out of the gold wrapper. We just kept it simple with stripes and starbursts, but some other cute ideas would be polka dots, confetti, or hearts!
Next apply a very thin layer of glue to the back sides of the gold pieces and stick them to the exterior of the bottle. Once you are happy with the placement of everything press them down firmly and smooth out any wrinkles. Wipe up any extra glue or residue with a bit of Windex sprayed onto a piece of paper towel. Let the glue set for a few hours before using.
...and voila! So cute and so simple! We will be back tomorrow with a few fun uses and gift ideas for the bottles just in time for Mother's Day! Enjoy!

That's a lot of fun. I just did some etched glass ones. I love mixing up drinks and seeing them in my fridge makes me smile.
