One of the things we love about the new kiddos section is that we get to help promote my talented sister, Megan and her handmade creations! We are now selling her handmade dolls in our kiddos section and will be selling them online in November-just in time for Christmas! She hand-stuffs every limb, dresses them up and even give each doll a name, sewed onto a tiny tag on the leg! Kids love the limb-y creations and they are even machine washable! Megan told me that if I were a dress, this would be it! I love it!

Not only does she create amazing dolls, Megan also screen prints onesies for tots size 0-3 months all the way up to 2T! Here are some of the ones available in the shop. Not to fret, these too will be available in our upcoming online store for custom order in November! You pick the size and the print, and voila!

Tony Chestnut Summer 2012.

We are so happy to introduce to you the Tony Chestnut Summer 2012 line! This collection is one of our very favorites to date! We can't get enough of the colors, stripes and playfulness of each piece!

Our dear friend Jill Sawatzky is the mastermind behind these fun pieces- remember her from our interview and collaboration as well as the trunk sale we got to be a part of? Of course you do!

As a matter of fact, there is another trunk sale-Forage Market just around the corner (literally for us because it's across the street from our shop!) on Saturday, June 23 at 70 Albert St from 1-6! Our friends Jessie & Tyler of One Plus One Design have done it again!

There's something in the water.

We are really lucky girls. We have some of the most amazing friends on the planet and we love the city that we live in. Lots of people don't understand how we can live in a place with the most drastic temperatures, and not a lot to do (especially once temperatures drop) but we beg to differ! There's something magical about this small city and the friendly people that call it home.

Winnipeg has some of the most creative people that we know; maybe there's something in the water? We think that because it's a small city (more like a really big town) everyone seems to know everyone, and we feed off of each other's creative energy.

 Here's a peak at some of our wonderfully talented friends that live in Winnipeg (or nearby) that are doing what they love, and are doing it well! 

Our friend Nils Vik just opened the most beautiful coffee shop, Parlour Coffee this last week. 

Lucky for us it's right around the corner from our shop! 

Great coffee, great people and a great space; what a perfect combo.  

I (Erin) am not a big fan of coffee, but I am really confident that Parlour Coffee will make me a believer, and we wish Nils all the best! Welcome to the neighbourhood buddy!

Some newer friends of ours, Jessie & Tyler Thiessen of One + One Design are going to be launching their website really soon and we are so excited to see it!
They are a newly married duo that do amazing wedding (and other events) stationary design and illustration!

We're already talking about some kind of collaboration in the future, and we're can hardly wait! They are going to do big things, we can feel it in our bones!

Canola fields & high heels.

Last week we had the privledge of doing a photoshoot with our very talented friend, Brittany Hildebrandt! She used to live here in Winnipeg, but just recently she moved to Ontario, and whenever she comes back to visit we are always very eager to collaborate with her! During her last visit we drove out to the country early one Sunday morning and set up shop in a canola field. We brought a fun party playlist and we all had the best time dancing around on the gravel road in our heels! She sent us this one sneak peek photo from the shoot and we are completely head over heels with how amazing it turned out! Whoa, this girl definitely has the magic touch! Now we are dying of curiosity to see the rest!!!

Ok, so we wanted to do a little post to show off some of our really adorable, and super talented friends here in Winnipeg. We love this city, and we love our friends! We are so lucky!

This video was made by our friend Kyle Thomas (who was one of the photographers at Erin's wedding) and features our friends Tristan Fast (our photographer-extraordinaire for our Bust photoshoot) Luke Marvin, Joel Rempel and Landon Stachiw! We can't get enough of this video, it is so adorable!

Our friend Andrew Chipman is a finalist for the H&M Much Music Video Awards Fashion Blogger contest! We hope you take a minute and go vote for him here. He's sure got our vote!

Here's another video that we love this week, from Stef's brother's band New Renaissance! Last week they had their cd release show and it was totally amazing! This video is proof. We're so proud!

Another amazingly talented friend of ours, Brittany Hildebrandt who recently moved back to Toronto; did a photoshoot of our gorgeous friend Lauren Swan, (who you may recognize from here) for our other pal Bri Foster of Rag & Rich Vintage! Britt's coming back to Winnipeg in a few weeks and we already have a shoot planned with her and we can't wait!

Now we're off to the fair...The Niverville Fair that is! We will be there tonight from 6 pm until 11 pm, and then Saturday from 10 am until 11 pm! If you live anywhere nearby you should definitely come and check it out!
