A labor of love.

Curious about what's going on with our trailer, Olive? Here is our progress report!

Over the past few months we haven't posted a lot about the state of our trailer, Olive, but that doesn't mean we haven't secretly been working very hard to give her an amazing makeover! We both have very handy hard-working families, who have so generously donated their weekends to helping us with this labor of love! With their help, and our own elbow grease, we plan on completing the renovation all on our own! Here are a few little peeks at what we've been doing over the last few months:
In these photos we are working on a sign that we will print our name on. Erin took to the jigsaw like a natural, so she did all of the cutting, whereas I stuck to sanding my heart out. With a project like this, there are always many sanding jobs to be had!
In these photos we are working on Olive's exterior. Obviously, the brown paint had to go, but before we could re-paint it, we had to sand down all of the old peeling paint. We're not gonna lie, she was in pretty rough shape when we bought her, but after many hours of sanding, using an amazing primer-filler, and an unbelievable custom paint job by my husband and father,  Olive is looking like a new lady! We couldn't be happier with how it turned out!

We can't wait to share the 'after' photos with you... but we will save those for another day! Stay tuned!

  1. Wow, so awesome! Can't wait to see the 'after.' It's great to work hard on something and then be able to view the fruits of your labor. Congrats ladies!

  2. Could you share the amazing primer filler and what kind/brand of paint used on Olive? I'm re-doing the inside of my little canned ham right now and am almost ready to attack the outside! thank you.
