Atomic Ranches.

It's hard to believe that homes this pretty even exist. These gorgeous houses were built in the late 1950's and early 1960's and they look like they came straight out of our dreams! Enjoy this little dose of eye-candy on this sunny Wednesday afternoon:

This little pink and turquoise mid century house hidden amongst a sea of tropical trees looks absolutely magical.

A mint ranch style house with a carport and matching mint car? Are. You. Kidding. Me.

We love the little pop of yellow on this one! The talented Danielle of The Thompson Family Life blog captured this incredible shot along with a bunch of other amazing homes during a recent vacation in Palm Springs. If you like what you see here, you should definitely check out her post dedicated to mid century modern homes here.

We love how this house curves to fit perfectly around the pool!

The boomerang details on this house are absolutely incredible. What a spectacular design!

And last, but certainly not least, this breath-taking house. Um... is this real life?

So... when can we move in?!
XO

  12. I'm drooling! Right now, we live in a 1920s bungalow -- I adore the simplicity and the Craftsman-style details. But if we ever moved, mid-century all the way! We have some amazing modern neighborhoods in St. Louis that I love to drive through and admire.

    Great roundup, ladies!

  17. I've always loved these houses. We looked at one when we were house hunting but it was really run down, unfortunately.

  18. Now as an adult I realize that my grandparents house was MCM. It is just a tiny thing with a turquoise bathroom and knotty pine kitchen cabinets. I drive buy it now and then and pine for it. Grandma had the outside painted turquoise and white. Just perfect!!

  19. The first house shown is so much like my grandparents house. Drove by last week and it's in horrible shape now...and painted a muddy brown. Hurts my heart.
