During our last trip overseas we made a stop off in Tokyo where one of my dreams came true... we got to go to a Cat Cafe!!! Eep! Before I get too ahead of myself, let me take a second to explain this...
What is a cat cafe you ask? Well, it is a place where you can go to hang out, have a coffee and play with adorable little cats! The one we went to also sort of resembled kindergarten class because of all of the little kitten toys and beds scattered around everywhere. These types of cafes are popular in Tokyo because many apartment buildings don't allow pets, so if people are looking to get a cute cat/caffeine fix they can just pop on down to their local cat cafe! This is especially my dream land because cats are my favorite but unfortunately I'm allergic to them, so this way I can have my cake and eat it too! (and surprisingly my allergies didn't even bother me!)
Erin and I are in our glory!
Want to know a random fun fact about the cat cafe? Well, during the plane ride home we were watching the Katy Perry movie on the plane, (haha guilty pleasure!) and during the movie she goes to Tokyo and goes to the exact same cat cafe that we went to! What are the chances of that?!
As soon as we walked in we were greeted by some cute fuzzy new friends! We were really excited to meet them and some where excited to meet us too...
...while others weren't as excited to hang out with us, haha! (Not to worry, no cats were harmed in the taking of this photo.)
Until next time furry friends...
XO
These Japanese people are nuts. Their whole philosophy seems so strange to me. However, that's a clever idea, I could never think of something like this

This is even more ridiculously cute than I imagined. What cuties! Glad you had such a great time xo
ReplyDeleteWow! How fabulous is that! I've never heard of anything like this before. I'm now on the search to see if there is such a place with dogs...or monkeys. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe this cafe exists haha. I love it! I wish they made one with puppies too although... they're a little more reckless that calm kitties.

Oh that is wonderful! We need more places like that! My husband and I checked out a comic book store and were stoked to see two kitties when we walked in. The owners have towers set up and let the cats roam while the store is open. We thought that was the coolest thing!
