Christmas in the Hiebert home!

As usual December totally got away from me and before I knew it there is less than a week left before Christmas and I am still finishing up my holiday shopping! Eep!! Every year I say I will be more organized and get things done early, but every year time just gets away from me! (Anyone else with me?!) But hey, at least I was on the ball enough to get my tree set up and get a few festive decorations out! So here is a little peek into what Christmas looks like in the Hiebert home this season:

For the past several years it has become a tradition to get together with my mother-in-law and my sister-in-laws and spend the day doing a bunch of holiday baking and Christmas card making! It's a lot of fun because we all bake our favorite cookies and snacks and then exchange them with each other at the end of the day so I get to go home with a variety of yummy treats! This year I even incoporated a little vintage touch into my Christmas cards by sewing stripes of retro floral fabric onto each one. Such a simple idea that looks so cute! By the end of the day the house is total mess of flour, sugar, glitter, thread, and scrap fabric, but it is so fun and totally worth it!

I've also been spending lots of time staying cozy indoors listening to records and decorating my home with my 1950's aluminum Christmas tree along with a few other festive details! I've also already been to a lot of fun holiday parties and gatherings, which I love getting all dolled up for!
Hope you're all getting into the holiday spirit! Merry Christmas from our home to yours!
XO, Stef

  7. I have that Heart album!!! So great. I actually just did a round up of my favourite records (in my collection) the other day. I hummed and hawed over including Heart, but in the end, that album didn't make the cut. There are only so man you can choose, right!?
