Busy signal.

Landlines are becoming more and more obsolete these days now that pretty much everybody under the sun has a cell phone, but back in their glory days telephones were really a thing of beauty. Just take a look at this gorgeous rainbow of phones!  So many pretty pastel colors and unique designs! Seeing these gems is definitely making me consider re-installing my landline.

  3. I have a retro-styled phone - honestly, it's the first thing everyone comments on when they walk into my home. Who knew it would be such a statement object?!

    These phones are all beautiful. I think number five is my favourite: oh the colours!

  5. ha, growing up we had an avocado green rotary phone. It was hideous! But I sort of love the black phone and it would look so cute on my shelf where my cordless is now. I am one of those old school ladies that still has a landline!

  10. These are all gorgeous phones. We have the black one from my husband's grandma and we once used ours for a while before we bought a new one to replace our broke phone. It still works great. :)

  11. I love number eight, such a bright colour! I was born when the cellphones just arrived so pretty much by the time I was a teenager, I think telephones were starting to phase out. We still have a house phone but nobody uses it so we're planning to cut the service in general and stick with cellphones.

  17. @Dalena Vintage - Yes, yes, yes! My family had the olive green "model" as well. I will never forget when friends came over and needed to call home. The would pick up the receiver, check out the way to dial, and ask, "How does this work?"

    My sister, brother, and I were thrilled when it was updated (about 15+ years later than most people did).

  21. I appreciated the times when everyone had a house phone. Today that is a rare commodity!
