Don't get me wrong, we are so thankful for modern technology and we don't know what we would do without our computers (or the internet for that matter!) but there is still something so charming about an old-fashioned typewriter. We both have several that we like to bust out from time to time for a special touch on a homemade birthday present or Christmas card. Plus, they look so darn cute sitting on display on our shelves!

I've always wanted an old typewriter! My mom says it would be a good idea for me to get one that looks old but has all the modern tech since they don't really make the ribbons anymore. Is Etsy the best place to find them?

ReplyDeleteI love typewriters, they are so wonderful, I would love to get one someday for my desk. I think they are so pretty and I love the feeling of typing on a typewriter. The keys are so definite when you push them. It's nice.

ReplyDeleteI remember using typewriters for all of my book reports in school. There was a certain feel to the keys and a certain sound they made that will never leave my memory. There was even a certain smell to the typewriter and the case it was in...a plastic/vinyl-like smell that is so hard to describe or compare to anything else. Am I alone in remembering that smell? (Rob)
