North Dakota gems

This past weekend Ryan and I ventured off to Grand Forks and Fargo to spend his birthday weekend eating, drinking and most importantly-thrifting! For those of you thinking "who the heck is Ryan?" well let me introduce you to this wonderful man that's been in my life for the last little while. He lives in the building that our studio is in, he's a bike courier and is a pretty lovely guy. And...he loves thrifting as much almost as much as I do!

We walked around a lot, exploring downtown Grand Forks and Fargo. You guys! Grand Forks in particular is a pretty wicked little city. We ate such great food, and the thrift stores were jam packed full of gems!

God bless America: for their over-sized hats and under-priced booze!

We stumbled across this Bike shop in Fargo and naturally we had to stop in and check it out.

This guy really loves pinball, turns out I'm really horrible at it.

This was taken at the most amazing pizza joint in Fargo, but it's also in Grand Forks. It's called Rhombus Guys and I highly recommend it!

Hotel Donaldson has a really great lounge and their food is so delicious, as are their cocktails. We also got to try The Toasted Frog which is around the corner and I've heard a lot about but only got to try it this time around. Oh boy, it did not disappoint. I'm still dreaming of their deep fried pickles! I also ran into a super sweet blog reader named Sara that I met the last time I was down there. I'm pretty sure I blushed throughout our entire conversation.

All in all, it was a wonderful and relaxing getaway, and I can't wait to go back!

xo, Erin

  5. I love how every little state is sort of like it's own little country - it's own cities with their particular charm, quirks, and local culture. I've never been to this part of the country, but it's on my radar for future road trips!
