Christmas Advertisements from the 50's & 60's

Christmas is officially a week away! Holy moly it came faster than ever this year! It feels especially strange because typically by now in Winnipeg it's minus a trillion degrees and there is snow blanketing our city, but not this year. Today it's supposed to be +4 degrees Celsius out! We're not sure how we feel about having a brown Christmas for the first time that we can remember, but snow or no snow we love Christmas and getting together with family and friends! We both have Christmas gatherings to get to today, so we'll leave you with these cheery vintage Christmas ads! Happy Holidays lovelies!

Dear Santa...

Eariler this week Erin shared her Christmas wishlist, and now it's time for me to share mine! There are a few items on here that are a little bit on the extravagant side but a girl can dream, right?

(For those of you who don't know, I'm terribly allergic to cats... But this hasn't stopped me from asking for a kitten every Christmas of my life! So far I haven't gotten one yet... Maybe this year will be the lucky year? Haha!)

A tour of our vintage boutique, Rhymes With Orange!

As you all know, we just opened the doors to our brand new vintage boutique a week and a half ago and already we have had so much traffic and visitors! It is the greatest feeling to see our dream come to life and be able share it with others. There is nothing in the world quite like it!

A few days after we had our grand opening party, our friend, Rosie of Simply Rosie Photography offered to come down and snap some photos of our pretty new shop! Of course we were beyond thrilled with this idea because we hadn't got the chance to take any "good" photos of all of our hard-work yet.

Rosie totally nailed it! She did such a phenomenal job of capturing all of the pops of color and the whimsical amosphere. We loved all of the photos so much that it made it difficult to narrow down which ones we wanted to use. So we decided to turn this into a 2-part post and share the women's section with you today! Enjoy!
